Attorney Hetzel is a passionate advocate in the areas of Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, Family Law, Insurance Disputes, and Worker's Compensation.  He is committed to achieving positive outcomes for his clients and does so with the utmost integrity. 

 

Ryan received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from UW-Stevens Point.

 

Ryan attended Marquette University Law School and received his juris doctor in 1997.  Ryan has been a managing partner of a small litigation firm for over 20 years and has developed a reputation for litigation excellence.  His legal mastery has been recognized by Super Lawyers -- who named him a Rising Star from 2010-2013, and a SuperLawyer from 2016-2019 -- and is reflected in his "Superb 10" rating on AVVO.

Ryan stays active among civil plaintiff attorneys through the Wisconsin Association of Justice where  he has served on the Executive Board from 2008 to present, and among criminal defense attorneys through the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Locally, Ryan is  a member of the Washington County Bar Association (2007-08 President).

 

He is committed to serving the Washington County community in a number of ways.  Ryan is the current President of the Downtown West Bend Association and has served on the board of directors for that organization since 2008. He has also served on the board for the United Way of Washington County from 2012-2018 and for Citizen Advocacy of Washington County.

 

Attorney Hetzel is respected among judges and other lawyers, but in his over twenty years of legal experience, he takes the most pride in fostering meaningful client relationships that yield positive results.
